Although the Guggenheim Library has a collection of artist books, this might be our first artist album. In October 1968, French conceptual artist Bernar Venet sent Guggenheim curator Edward Fry an inscribed 45 album titled “The Infrared Polarization of the Infrared Star in Cygnus.” Technical data, graphs, and text related to the giant infrared star NML Cygnus cover the album sleeve.
